Frequently asked questions about robotic surgery urology

When you come to your appointment, please bring the following:

  • Referral letter from your GP or Medical Specialist

  • Medicare Card, DVA Card, Private Health Fund Information

  • Any imaging or medical reports you may have including MRI, CT scans, X-rays

  • A list of current medications

As this is a private practice, there will be fees associated with consultations.

  • The initial consultation fee with Mr Dundee is $240 (Medicare rebates available)

  • Review consultations are $130 (Medicare rebates available)

  • Post-operative appointments within 6 weeks of surgery do not incur a charge

In order to obtain your Medicare rebate, you’ll need to have a current referral from a GP or other specialist. The office will be happy to process the rebate at the time of your appointment.

We kindly ask that payment is confirmed the same day as your appointment.
Our preferred payment method is Eftpos and Credit Card.

Telehealth appointments can be arranged if clinically appropriate. Physical examinations are an important part of Mr Dundee’s evaluation when determining the most appropriate option of treatment for you. Therefore, you may be required to attend your initial consultation in person. If you would like to discuss Telehealth options that may be available, please contact our friendly staff.

  • Richmond Office: 2 hour street parking (Some metered and some un-metered) is available on Lennox Street and surrounding streets. The closest train stations are West Richmond and Richmond. Trams run frequently along Bridge Road, and the nearest stop is ‘Epworth Richmond’, Stop Number 15.

  • Fitzroy Office: Limited street parking available. Gertrude Street has 2 hour metered parking and is a short walk to the rooms. Alternatively, Parliament Train Station is a short walk from our office. Trams run frequently along Victoria Parade, and the nearest stop is ‘St Vincent’s Plaza’, Stop Number 12.

  • Mornington Office: The Bays Hospital offers free parking on site. The main entrance carpark is located via Vale Street.

Mr Dundee has regular access to the Da Vinci Robot at Epworth Richmond, St Vincent’s Private Fitzroy and also at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Mr Dundee operates regularly at Epworth Richmond, St Vincent’s Private and The Bays Hospital Mornington.

Mr Dundee also works at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peninsula Health, which are both public hospitals.

Mr Dundee can see you at his practice without private health insurance. Mr Dundee has public appointments at both The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peninsula Health and can discuss your treatment options during your consultation.
